Alicia Navarro

FLOWN

Founder and CEO

Alicia Navarro is a serial entrepreneur, with a passion for product, brand, design and culture.

She is the founder and CEO of FLOWN, a body doubling platform offering focus and accountability to remote-working professionals, business and universities.

Started during the first COVID lockdown, FLOWN is a “Peloton for work” with round-the-clock focus sessions - where people work silently on-camera together - led by expert focus facilitators. The neuroscience hack of "body doubling" - having accountability buddies while working - is becoming more and more mainstream as people struggle with focus, loneliness, ADHD, and a lack of accountability when working remotely.

Alicia’s vision is to leverage the science behind deep work and flow states to make work a source of joy.

Prior to FLOWN, Alicia was the co-founder and CEO of Skimlinks, a monetization platform helping publishers such as Buzzfeed, Conde Nast, Hearst, and Aol generate revenues from their commerce-related content. Alicia started the company in her living room in Sydney, Australia, and over 11 years grew it to a $50m/year business based in London with operations in San Francisco and New York. Skimlinks was acquired by Connexity in 2020 (also during the first COVID lockdown!).

Alicia has also worked as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at firstminute and Breega Capital, trained as an Executive Coach, was the Chairman to Yourkeys (acquired by Zoopla in 2021), and an advisor and mentor to many startup founders.

She’s won the EveryWoman in Technology Entrepreneur of the Year, a Finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year, and the WCIT’s Female Entrepreneur of the Year, along with countless other awards for her leadership and startups’ innovation, growth, and culture.
