About us

We are the Institute of Government & Public Policy (IGPP), an independent organisation dedicated to influencing and informing the ongoing development of public policy. While we were previously affiliated with the University of East London, we now operate as an independent entity, enhancing our ability to innovate and engage widely with partners across sectors. Our work focuses on creating meaningful dialogue and supporting professional development.

Our partners and members benefit from an ever-increasing network where collaboration is central to what we do and what we believe in. Through ongoing engagement, our ethos is based on sharing knowledge and experience and bringing best practices to the fore to the benefit of the public policy-making process and principles. Learn how an association with the Institute of Government and Public Policy can benefit your organisation.

Who we are

Our Philosophy

Our focus is on the importance of governance and public policy and how it impacts all those it affects. Our belief is that the most productive and positive outcomes can only be delivered through enhancing knowledge, disseminating excellence, collaboration and ongoing discussions.

Our Values

We are ambitious about creating an environment where our people can thrive and deliver their best work. Our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and integrity shapes everything we do, guiding our interactions and partnerships. These principles influence how we engage with one another and with the wider public policy community:

•    Strive for excellence by continuously challenging ourselves and driving innovation

•    Build an inclusive culture where diversity is celebrated, and everyone feels valued
