Jo Brewis is Professor of People and Organizations at The Open University Business School. Throughout her career she has researched the connections between gender, the body, identity and organizations, including menopause and early pregnancy endings as workplace issues. Amongst other relevant academic and media outputs, Jo is co-author of the 2017 Government Equalities Office report The effects of menopause transition on women’s economic participation in the UK. She is also an independent panel member for The Menopause Friendly Accreditation. Jo specializes in teaching HRM, organization studies and research methodology and research skills. In her spare time she reads anything and everything as long as it’s fiction, watches far too much reality TV, nervously follows Newcastle United and loves going to see bands.
