The Third Annual Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace Event

Online Conference 15 March 2023, 9:00am - 3:00pm

Overview

Working adults spend on average one-third (over 90,000 hours) of their waking life at work, so the workplace is key in the health and wellbeing of the majority of the population.

Employers are increasing recognising the benefits of having a happy workforce as they are 12% more productive, have less absenteeism and save on average of over £2500 per person on recruitment costs alone. Conversely, almost three-quarters (72 per cent) of dissatisfied workers feel their workplace unhappiness has negatively impacted their physical and/or mental wellbeing (University of Warwick 2021).

As we see a shift in organisational culture, it is apparent that a happy and supportive work environment leads to a more productive and successful team. Therefore, it is more vital than ever that organisations take an active role in the health and wellbeing of their employees.

Towards Better Health And Wellbeing at Work 2023 will explore the impact of the legacy of the pandemic has had on health and well-being at work, what is being done by organisations to support their employees’ health and well-being. It will explore the future of work and the important shifts in workplace culture, and what changes will be taken forward into the future.
