Edith Galliers is Head of Change at the London Borough of Waltham Forest where she is currently leading on culture change within the organisation through the implementation of the People Strategy. Having begun her career in Local Government 18 years ago Edith has held roles working in community development and neighbourhood management, working with local communities to co design solutions to their priorities and provide a voice for the seldom heard. She has used this as an essential foundation within her role of Head of Policy, Equalities and Communities at Redbridge Council 2017 - 2022 where she was the lead officer responsible for providing the Council with policy advice; driving innovation, improvement and a can do culture. Overseeing the corporate community sector grants programme, she built relationships to enhance and empower the local community and voluntary sector, whilst also supporting the sector through the Covid Response.

Edith is passionate about working to empower the voluntary and community sector, volunteering as Trustee and Vice Chair of London Funders a cross-sector network for funders in civil society and is an Independent Member for the National Council for Voluntary Services. In addition Edith works to empower women in Local Government as the Co-Chair for the London Borough Women’s Network.
