Mandy St John Davey MBE has an illustrious career in training and development working with large Welsh companies, UK law firms and the Welsh government. It was 25 years ago when she saw an opportunity in the property market and is now a successful residential property developer.
She has a substantial portfolio of properties in Wales and Europe and continues to buy properties to renovate and transform into affordable homes.
Mandy has been a member of the campaigning organisation Women in Property for many years, holding down roles including National Chair, National Mentoring Champion and a member of their National Strategic Group Board.
As part of a working team she has represented Women in Property at Oxford Brookes University, a discussion project “Many Things To Many People” looking at formal mentoring schemes and their management with a view to implement them effectively into other organisations. Mandy was part of the Welsh Government’s expert panel for promoting female entrepreneurship in Wales and is a Welsh Government Role Model for Construction as well as a Princes’ Trust Mentor.
Mandy has spoken to large audiences in the UK and Internationally on mentoring, gender equality, and unconscious bias as well as female empowerment. She is a regular attendee at the APPG (All Party Parliamentary Group) providing input on her experience as an entrepreneur.
Mandy was awarded an MBE in the King’s New Year’s Honours List 2024 for her role as National Chairman for Women in Property and for services to working women.
