Tackling the Challenges of Dementia 2023

Online Conference 17 January 2023, 9:00am - 3:00pm

Overview

There are currently over 900,000 people living with dementia in the UK. It is estimated that by 2024, this figure will be more than 1.6 million. 1 in 14 individuals over the age of 60 has dementia, and this figure is constantly rising as people with dementia live longer. Dementia is one of the primary causes of disability in later life, with over 200,000 individuals projected to develop the disease this year alone.

The cost of treating people with dementia in the NHS and the social care system is £34.7 billion per year, this is set to rise to £94.1 billion by 2040. This is despite being one of the lesser funded health conditions in the UK.

Join us for the third annual Tackling the Challenges of Dementia event as we address how the Government and key organisations are leading in the charge to tackling the challenges of dementia and supporting those with the disease.

Discover practical case studies demonstrating innovative solutions for addressing a wide range of issues including early diagnosis, person-centred care, technology use, housing design and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn from the carers of those with dementia and discover the need for better awareness and support. Hear real-life experiences and the importance of getting an early diagnosis. And look forward as we learn of advances in dementia research with the goal of finding a cure.

We have a limited number of sponsored speaking and branding opportunities available. Complete the partnership enquiry form or email [email protected] for more information.
