Working To Address Obesity In A Diverse Population
  • Understanding childhood obesity is a city health improvement priority; intervening early for life long health, wellbeing, and social outcomes
  • Using a population health management framework, data, and knowledge about local communities to identify need, we aim to meet people where they are, make it easier to be healthy with culturally appropriate and accessible support and reduce inequalities through targeted services
  • Working with research colleagues e.g. at Bradford Inequalities Research Unit, we will add to the evidence of what works and work to sustain and scale up positive work
  • Using examples from Reducing Inequalities in Communities (RIC) and Living Well services we share some of the innovative and collaborative work in Bradford to address obesity in our diverse population
