Online Event 31 August 2022, 9:00am - 3:00pm
Matt is Head of Policy and Public Affairs at National Energy Action, working with Governments, regulators and other organisations to ensure that the energy market works for fuel poor and vulnerable households, and to ensure a fair and affordable transition to net zero. He has 10 years' experience in the energy sector, working mostly on sustainability issues, and has been working at NEA focussing on fuel poverty for the last four years.
In that time, he has worked on some key policies: Ensuring that the updated fuel poverty strategy for England works to ensure a fair transition to net zero; working with Ofgem to create a regulatory framework for gas and electricity networks that guarantees that they don’t leave any households behind in their efforts to reach net zero; and authoring the most recent Fuel Poverty Monitor, which is an assessment of what actions need to be taken to ensure a fair and affordable transition to net zero.
