Dave Britton is the Met Office’s Associate Director of Communications and Engagement where he leads a team of around 30 communications professionals across media and campaigns, digital, content and social media, strategic comms and internal communications. The award winning team he leads aim to engage audiences so that they are aware, understand and can act on the latest weather and climate science and services from the Met Office.

Dave has worked at the Met Office for over 20 years, beginning his career as an Operational Meteorologist before moving into media relations, external affairs, change management and communications leadership. Dave has a postgraduate diploma in public relations, is a chartered PR practitioner and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
