  • This presentation aims to educate and inform sustainable healthcare professionals about the carbon emissions associated with virtual wards in Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT), with a focus on understanding the patient pathway's overall carbon footprint, identifying areas for improvement, and assessing the carbon benefits compared to traditional inpatient stays
  • HHFT were the first to use a national toolkit that supported with this project. Researching carbon emissions in virtual wards builds the evidence base to support the integration of sustainable practices within healthcare. It offers tangible data to demonstrate the environmental impact of this care model.
