Cognition and Mental Health in Menopause
  • Cognitive issues, or ‘brain fog’ (changes in verbal memory, working memory and attention); are reported by around 60% of people during menopause transition
  • Approximately 30% of those going through menopause transition suffer their first depressive episode and those with previous experiences of depression are much more likely to have it again. Around 51% of women describe symptoms of anxiety
  • This talk will address the potential impact of these symptoms on working life and possible treatment strategies
