In this session, Dr Lis Boulton will present findings from Age UK’s latest wave of research on older people’s health and care. This research has been conducted every six months since August 2020 and provides a rich source of evidence about how living through the pandemic has affected older people’s lives. From Autumn 2022, this research will provide an annual picture of older people’s concerns, including access to health and care services, changes in physical and mental health, relationships with others, providing care, and the impact of the cost of living crisis on their health. The findings will be tied in with changes to the health and care system, highlighting opportunities to improve older people’s experiences.
