Enhancing Housing Services Through Technology 2021

Online Event 21 October 2021, 8:30am - 4:00pm

Overview

In 2017 the Government made a manifesto pledge to meet the 2015 commitment to deliver 1 million homes by the end of 2020 and half a million more by the end of 2022. In the last year, social housing stock in England dropped by over 17,000 and waiting lists for homes increased.

The number of affordable homes built rose by just 1% and fell short by nearly 90,000 of the number of homes estimated to be needed to escape the housing crisis.

The Social Housing White Paper published in November 2020 sets out the actions the government will take to ensure residents in social housing are safe, listened to, live in good quality homes and have access to redress when things go wrong.

Technologies such as digital communications and AI have enormous potential to transform the way housing providers support residents and address the pressures facing the housing sector.

This timely event will address how technology and innovation is being applied to address the issues facing the housing sector including productivity, safety, quality and customer service.

Through a series of practical case studies from across housing, delegates will learn how to improve their organisations’ digital and data strategies and how to apply technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Robotic Process Automation.
