Creating Safe Spaces for Teams to Thrive

Exploring the intersection of psychological safety and strengths-based approaches

CPD accredited by IGPP badge

Overview

Join our workshop to discover how high-performing teams thrive without burning out.

Psychological safety, ‘the belief that one will not be punished or humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns or mistakes’ (Edmondson, 1999), has been shown to be the most important contributor to high-performing teams. When team members feel safe and supported, they are more likely to take on new challenges, learn and innovate, leading to better outcomes for the team and organisation.

Creating an environment where individuals feel safe to share their ideas, thoughts and opinions without fear of retribution encourages individuals to bring their unique strengths and abilities to the team. Not only does this promote wellbeing and confidence, but it also fosters a sense of belonging and inclusion. This workshop will provide practical tools to cultivate psychological safety and develop strengths-based approaches, which are core ingredients for thriving individuals and teams at work.

Join us and learn how to identify and address barriers to psychological safety, as well as harness your own and team members’ strengths. Discover how strengths-based approaches contribute to a safe and supportive team environment, and take away practical tools for fostering safety in your teams.
