Josie Jackson

NSPCC

Project Development Manager

Josie qualified as a social worker in the  90’s and has worked in several local authorities, predominantly in Duty and Assessment roles. Josie joined the NSPCC in 2004, when she joined a specialist team working with Children and Young people who display Harmful Sexual Behaviour where she gained a wealth of experience. Josie has always been interested in development of new services and was instrumental in the validation and reliability testing of the Graded Care Profile (GCP2) neglect assessment tool, which she also has significant practice experience of delivering.  Since joining the NSPCC Josie has been a Consultant Social Worker, undertaking quality assurance work and a Team Manager working across the organisation. Josie joined the NSPCC Development and Implementation Team to support internal practice in responding to child sexual abuse incidents and to develop a range of sexual abuse NSPCC services. Josie often delivers training,  to both internal and external audiences in the area of harmful sexual behaviour. Josie is currently collaborating across services, internally and externally to develop new services and products, including an intervention relating to problematic sexual behaviour and another service focusing on children who are at risk of online sexual abuse.
