Online Event 23 August 2022, 9:00am - 3:00pm
Dimitris Trakaniaris is a professional social worker, and he has been volunteering as Humanitarian Action Consultant for the World Organization of Scout Movement (WOSM) for the almost four years now. Through his work, he is supporting National Scouting Organizations and the communities hosting them to sustainably develop and to become resilient, aiming ultimately at creating a Better World. For several years, he has been involved in the humanitarian and development sector both professionally and through volunteering roles. He has been the youngest person to lead the coordination of the Erasmus+ KA3 "Time to be Welcome" project that supported young refugees, unaccompanied minors, and single parent refugee families in Greece. He is also representing WOSM in UN's initiative "Compact for Young People in Humanitarian Action". His belief is that young people around the world have the power to make this world a better place for all. They can achieve that though a platform that allows for their voices to be heard and their actions to be realized. World Scouting is offering both.
