I’ve been recruiting in the Software Test and QA space at SoCode for the last 4 years and I noticed that there is a real discrepancy in the amount of men vs women in the industry, especially in management positions. 6 months ago, ‘Women in STEM’ was born as as I wanted to create a community of likeminded women and give them a platform to share their stories, help encourage other women in the industry, and to raise awareness of the issues women face so that we continue to make positive changes to the industry. I also host a podcast and run quarterly events which are free for everyone to attend.
