Karl deals with strategic Estates and Asset requirements across a range of areas, these include; disposal, utilisation and optimisation strategies; stakeholder coordination and management; sustainability; public / private, Government agency engagement. I also lead/support work relating to the digital and sustainability agendas, utilising my skills and experience from a range of sectors, analysing estates data and influencing procurement strategies, finance and strategic priorities.
His function, as part of the capital projects at Leeds Teaching Hospital, relates specifically to sustainability and smart digital asset management, creating links and tangible measurable outputs during the capital build phase and more importantly during assets life cycle, targeting all operational areas, identifying realisable monetary and non-monetary benefits. He is a member of BIM4HEALTH, a Fellow of the Leeds Sustainability Institute and continuously advancing my knowledge of the built environment, specifically Asset & Process Digitisation; Smart Enterprise Asset Management solutions; FM & Estates strategies.
He has won, developed and maintained multi-million-pound projects and portfolios in public and private sectors. Selfmotivated with the ability to engage at all levels of business, Government, corporate and supply chains. He has delivered international Healthcare and Real Estate ecosystem conference talks in Dubai, Lisbon, Hamburg, Stockholm and the UK. He has studied and had published a number of academic papers and articles, regarding negotiation & influencing; real estate strategies; digital asset management & sustainability; healthcare estates & patient flows; digital innovation & transformation strategies and IoT projects.
