In January 2019, Camilla Mankabady was appointed Communications Director for Liverpool City Council.
Camilla has navigated her way through many major stories, including leading and designing the comms & marketing strategy for Liverpool, when it became the first UK city, to rollout smart community Covid-19 testing.
Camilla has also spent 20 years running flagship network newsrooms, across both BBC News and ITV News. She was the programme editor for the BBC's Ten O'Clock News and ITV's News at Ten.
Camilla has worked in Europe too, as a Senior Media Consultant, helping to launch the Daytime and Evening schedules for the Euronews World Channel, in collaboration with the US-network NBC.
In 2018, Camilla was nominated for a BAFTA for her news programme's coverage of the 'Grenfell Fire' disaster.
Over the years, Camilla has spent much time as a media industry awards judge for the Royal Television Society, Amnesty and MHP Communications.
Camilla is a current member of the Liverpool City Region Digital & Creative Board and a former member of the LGcomms executive board.
She is also very proud to serve as a trustee at the renowned Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse theatres.
