Transforming Public Sector Communications 2021

Online Event 26 May 2021, 9:00am - 4:00pm

Overview

The Government Communication Plan in 2020/21 set out a list of key priorities to raise standards, strengthen democracy and deliver for our communities to meet the challenges the nation faces. Public sector communications, both internal and external, have become more and more important in 2020/21 as organisations have tackled the communications challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and its aftermath.

According to the Office for National Statistics, from January to February 2020, 96% of households in Great Britain had internet access, up from 93% in 2019. Digital channels including social media are crucial to connecting with communities and delivering key information.

This timely event will address the key issues facing both internal and external communications in the public sector as we emerge from the pandemic. Featuring case studies from across the public sector, delegates will hear practical examples of how their peers have tackled challenging situations.

Covering topical issues such as crisis communications, supporting staff health and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, using data and insight and multiple channels to deliver communications initiatives, this conference gives a comprehensive insight into current challenges. With keynote addresses from senior government and industry bodies, attendees will receive an update regarding the latest industry developments.
