Richard is the UKs leading academic authority on the management of workplace conflict. He has held Professorial posts at the Universities of Plymouth, Sheffield and Westminster and the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield, Central Lancashire and Plymouth. His work has been published in a wide range of leading international academic journals. He co-authored the Acas report on the ‘Cost of Conflict’ and played a key role in the Skilled Managers research programme, in partnership with Acas and funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).
