Jonny Gifford is Principal Research Fellow at the Institute for Employment Studies (IES). He has researched work and people management for over 20 years, with interests in job quality, performance and wellbeing. His work centres on evidence-based management and linking research insight to HR expertise, as well as conducting mixed-methods research. He previously worked at the CIPD, establishing its Applied Research Conference, Good Work Index and evidence-based HR programme. Jonny’s an Academic Member of the CIPD, a Fellow of the Center for Evidence-Based Management, Associate Editor at the Journal of Organizational Effectiveness: People and Performance, and a PhD candidate at Tilburg University.
