According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), men in the UK earned on average 14.9% more than women in 2022. Additionally, the Female FTSE Board Report highlighted the need for further progress, with women holding only 39.6% of FTSE 100 directorships and 38.9% of FTSE 250 directorships.
Despite significant efforts in recent years to improve female representation at the top of organisations, women in the workforce still face the pervasive effects of gender bias, barriers to achieving a healthy work-life balance, and restrictive workplace cultures that impede their progress. While progress has been made, true gender equality remains an ongoing challenge that requires continued commitment and action.
