Case Study: Delivering Recovery Through Integrated Place Based Leadership

This two-part plenary session will look at the movement for local authorities towards developing a new vision for place shaping and how that has supported collaboration. Louisa will draw on Staffordshire’s journey so far in developing a place-marketing led approach, based on bold and compelling narratives that local businesses and stakeholders can get behind: a hearts and minds campaign that puts people at the heart of places.

In the second part, Anthony will look at how We Are Staffordshire’s approach has enabled collaborative working across public sector partners and strengthened public/private sector working, drawing on two examples: the Place to Prosper inward investment campaign, and more recently, a ‘liveability’ campaign for Staffordshire, delivering a win-win for all parties.

Louisa Shaw, Place Brand Manager for We Are Staffordshire, and Anthony Hodge, Assistant Director for Business and Enterprise, Staffordshire County Council
