Reinhard Guss is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist. He has worked in the NHS in clinical and leadership posts in services for older people and people with dementia for over 35 years. Reinhard is past chair of FPOP, Faculty of the Psychology of Older People in the British Psychological Society, and Dementia Workstream Lead, working closely with statutory and voluntary sector organisations to improve psychological aspects of dementia services. Throughout his career he has been especially interested in developing and supporting opportunities for real participation of people with dementia and in making psychotherapeutic approaches useful and accessible for people living with dementia.
Reinhard is deputy chair of Memory Services National Accreditation Programme’s Accreditation Committee, he represented the British Psychological Society at the European Standing Committee for Geropsychology and on Steering Groups such as the National Dementia Action Alliance, Young Dementia Network, and the IDEAL study. He regularly presents at UK Dementia Congress, Alzheimer’s Europe and Alzheimer’s International Congress.
