Online Event 18 August 2022, 9:00am - 3:00pm
Nursing staff are working in an environment that is under enormous pressure to meet rising demand, whilst struggling to recruit and retain the right staff with the right skills. The COVID-19 pandemic has put extra pressure on nurses and severely impacted work-related stress and mental health problems.
In the year leading up to April 2020, the number of nurses in the NHS increased by 13,502, with approximately 660,600 nurses employed in the UK. This has increased from around 541,000 nurses in 2010, yet still, shifts are long and staff are stretched. The Government has made a commitment to recruit 50,000 more nurses by the end of this Parliament, with the NHS Long Term Plan aiming to respond to changes in society and health needs, nursing staff have a pivotal part to play in its delivery.
This national event will bring together the key organisations, providing a vital opportunity to discuss the challenges faced by the profession. It will examine ways to tackle workforce issues such as increasing recruitment, developing new roles, and making safe staffing decisions.
Learn from best-practice case studies on a wide range of topics including the ways in which technology is being incorporated into nursing practice, and the role of nurses in delivering integrated care.
We have a limited number of sponsored speaking and branding opportunities available. Complete the sponsorship enquiry form or email [email protected] for more information.
