Pervin is the Strategic Development Manager at Saheliya, an organisation providing mental health support and specialist services to meet multi-faceted needs of traumatised women experiencing racial inequality. She has +20 years' experience of governing and leading strategy, policy, practice and service development within third sector agencies and services; raising awareness within the public, private and third sector agencies around intersecting issues experienced by women with lived experience of racial inequality and gender-based abuses. She participates in a number of Policy working groups including the Equality and Human Rights Advisory Group, the Cross Party Group on Health Inequalities and the National Trauma Training Programme - Reference and Implementation Group and has served as a trustee on three different third-sector boards. She has been the instigator in starting-up and developing several successful women-led social enterprises over the years. Her background is Social Justice, race and gender equality and Community Learning and Development.
