Jane Perry is the Dean of Health, Sport and Bioscience at the University of East London and is responsible for the strategic academic portfolio for the school. She is also the Convenor for England for the Council of Deans for Health.

Jane’ has been a nurse for 35 years, with a clinical background in general practice as a nurse practitioner and moved into education in 2006 to support continuous professional development for advanced roles and prescribing. Her career grew into a number of senior management roles with responsibility for a number of health and social care programmes: Nursing, Nursing Associate, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Paramedic Science, Physician Associate, Clinically Enhanced Pharmacist Independent prescribing, Social Work and Foundation degrees in health and social care. Jane led the development of the first MSc Physician Associate programme at the University of Worcester and Chaired a regional group of Universities in the West Midlands working with HEE to develop a standardised curriculum for Advanced Clinical Practice. Jane has a passion for partnership working and innovative new roles in healthcare and works across the fours departments in the school to embrace new technologies and inter-professional models of education. In her role in East London, she has grown the nursing and allied health programmes substantially forging close relationships with prestigious NHS trust partners for both undergraduate programmes and apprenticeships.
