Faraz Mahmood Ayyaz worked as the first National Clinical Fellow with GIRFT (Getting It Right First Time) at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. His project focused on improving the day-case General Surgery activity at the newly established Trafford Elective Hub. By carefully modifying the local pathways according to GIRFT recommendations, and with the support from the Clinical Directorate at the Trafford Elective Hub, MFT was able to significantly improve HVLC activity within a relatively short period of time.
