Dr Zubaida Haque is Executive Director, and oversees the work of The Equality Trust. A leading social scientist, Zubaida has a strong research and policy background in intersectional inequalities within education, employment, housing, health, poverty, and criminal justice areas. She has written and spoken widely on race and gender inequalities, and has a wide portfolio of expertise in health, education, employment, housing and criminal justice areas. Zubaida has worked in senior roles within several government departments, think tanks and charities and has participated in several national Commissions, including more recently, the Commission on Gender Equal Economy and the [Lewis] Hamilton Commission.
Dr Haque is also a Fellow of the RSA, and a voluntary member of Independent SAGE, which shares independent and transparent advice with the public and HM Government on how to minimise deaths, and support Britain’s recovery from the COVID-19 crisis.
