Helen Johnson has 15 years’ experience in education and skills in both the public and private sector. Initially joining the LSC in 2005, Helen then worked in the local authority during the 14-19 years; taking the lead on STEM apprenticeships and working on projects to encourage young people and employers to consider apprenticeships, she then moved to manage a large private organisation’s national apprenticeship scheme. Helen is currently the Head of Apprenticeships for the Science and Technology Facilities Council, a world-leading multi-disciplinary science organisation, and has a passion for ensuring all apprentices are given opportunities to fulfil their potential.
