Rebecca is a digital philosopher and educational researcher. Before her move into Higher Education she gained nearly two decades of secondary school teaching experience, including leadership in both pastoral roles and academic roles. She previously worked at the University of Oxford's Internet Institute Digital Ethics Lab and is now a Senior Lecturer in Education, and AI Lead at the University of West London (UWL), and teaches on the BA Philosophy of Education at UCL.
Her doctorate focused on adolescent digital identity, she continues to work collaboratively with UCL and industry completing research projects regarding the social and emotional impact of GenAI on young people. In addition she has led various projects related to social media dynamics, virtual reality in education, and AI-based marking and automated feedback for humanities.
Rebecca is dedicated to blending theoretical knowledge with practical application, especially in modern education. She is passionate about using education as a tool for empowerment and continues to contribute to both the academic and practical fields of digital technology and educational philosophy.
