Overview

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the fastest-growing technologies in the world.

AI technologies that can be used in education have developed rapidly in recent years. This has been driven in part by advancements in generative AI, which is now capable of performing a wide range of tasks, including producing realistic content such as text, images, audio and video.

In the rapidly evolving learning and education landscape, harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence offers an unprecedented opportunity. AI can provide educators with tailored recommendations to meet learner needs and help teachers reflect, plan, and improve their practice.

In December 2022, the government published the National AI Strategy, a ten-year plan which aims to invest and plan for the long-term needs of the AI ecosystem, support the transition to an AI-enabled economy, and ensure the UK gets the national and international governance of AI technologies right, to encourage innovation, investment, and protect the public and our fundamental values. In September 2023, the Department for Education (DfE) published its policy paper, Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, which suggested that the education sector should utilise opportunities that AI provides, using the technology safely to deliver excellent education.

The Institute for Government & Public Policy is proud to continue building a reputation for delivering inspirational and empowering education conferences and events. The Future of AI in Learning and Education conference will bring together educators, innovators, and thought leaders from around the professional learning and development industry to discuss the future role of artificial intelligence (AI) within the education sector.

Join us at the Future of AI in Learning and Education conference, which will discuss the future role of artificial intelligence (AI) in shaping the future of learning and development, explore how AI can be utilised to improve education and assess the potential impact of AI on reducing staff workload. With the impending General Election, this leading event will give all those present the opportunity to discuss and debate what the impact of the election result will have on this key issue.
