Councillor Chris Weaver is the Cabinet Member for Finance, Modernisation, and Performance at Cardiff Council and has been since 2017.

As part of his cabinet responsibilities for Finance, HR, Pensions, Procurement, and Health & Safety, Chris’s portfolio contains responsibility for the real Living Wage, and he sits on the Cardiff Living Wage City Steering Group and the Living Wage Wales Leadership team. Since 2017 he has been Chair of the Cardiff & Vale Pensions Committee and Cardiff’s representative on the Wales Pension Partnership.

He is a member of the board of Data Cymru, of the Local Government Pension Scheme Advisory Board, and a director of the Local Authority Mutual Investment Trust (LAMIT), all on behalf of the Welsh Local Government Association.
