Yohanes Scarlett is an experienced EDI professional specializing in race and ethnicity. From a young age, he dedicated his time to volunteering at local youth clubs, where he gained valuable insights into equality and social justice through interactions with young individuals. Currently serving as the Policy and Research Advisor for Diversity and Inclusion at the Royal Academy of Engineering, Yohanes has conducted and commissioned extensive primary EDI research and led a dynamic and action-oriented research program focused on advancing diversity in the engineering profession. Yohanes' achievements include being selected for the United States Embassy Young Ethnic Minority Leadership Programme in 2014 and serving as a principal researcher for the influential Hamilton Commission report in 2020, which aimed to enhance the representation of Black individuals in UK Motorsport.
