Online Conference 12 December 2024, 9:00am - 3:00pm
Are you ready to embrace neurodiversity in your organisation?
In the UK, it is estimated that 1 in 7 people are neurodivergent. Neurodiversity is an integral part of human diversity and an invaluable part of the workplace. Global leaders such as Microsoft, Google, and Goldman Sachs have embraced the advantages of a diverse workforce and actively seek to recruit neurodiverse talent. However, it's essential to acknowledge that neurodivergent individuals still encounter significant challenges in their professional lives.
With many misconceptions and stereotypes around neurodiversity still present in organisational policies and strategies, a vast number of organisations still do not fully benefit from employing a neurodiverse workforce. However, the evidence shows that employers who create a neurodiversity-friendly work environment are more likely to attract and retain top talent from a diverse pool of individuals. Incorporating neuroinclusion in the workplace fosters a sense of belonging for all employees, regardless of their neurological differences. Additionally, actively seeking to understand the many barriers faced by neurodivergent individuals with a variety of other intersecting identities is likely to result in overall greater productivity and an improved sense of belonging for all.
The Institute of Government & Public Policy has earned a reputation for delivering insightful and thought-provoking Diversity, Equity and Inclusion conferences and training. Building on previous neurodiversity inclusion events in 2023 and 2024, the programme for The Fifth Annual Progressing Neurodiversity at Work 2024 is a deep-dive into practical and innovative solutions that you will be able to implement in your organisation immediately.
