Keynote Address: ‘Ending child poverty is possible, but it requires bold and radical action.’
  • Ending child poverty across Scotland will require bold and radical action – the SNP are willing to tackle this issue head on. By eradicating childhood poverty we will be able to work towards a society that is fairer and more dignified for all.
  • We have already made huge strides through the Scottish Child Payment, free school meals, the baby box and the Best Start Grants – these game changing policies have changed the lives of thousands of children across Scotland. These policies have also received wide ranging praise from think tanks and charities.
  • Children and young people across Scotland deserve the best possible start in life – where living in Scotland means living in a country that is the best place in the world to grow up.
