Matthew has over 25 years international experience in major complex projects across a broad range of typologies, and has led Grimshaw studios overseas in Melbourne – where he delivered the award-winning Olderfleet project – and Kuala Lumpur. He is now based in Grimshaw’s London studio where he plays an integral part of the practice’s expanding commercial and mixed-use portfolio across the UK, Europe and Middle East and leads the practice’s research into Design for Manufacturing (DfMA) and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).

Matthew is delivering innovative design solutions addressing deliverability, sustainability, and social impact across a number of projects including the St William Bath Gasworks project which adopts MMC in the delivery of over 600 homes. Matthew is also the design lead for the Construction Innovation Hub Platform Design Project, and the Singapore Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment.
