Patriic Gayle has been innovating HIV prevention and gay men’s health promotion since the 1980s. He is a published author: “The Hand Book” (1994), and “Together” (2001), more recently appearing in several online publications including “Chemsex, harm reduction, and cultivating more LGBT+ inclusive drug services” Society for the Study of Addiction (2022), and “Chemsex harm reduction” Talking Drugs (2021). He is an accomplished facilitator and public speaker, presenting at AIDS Impact Conference, European Chemsex Forum, International AIDS Conference (Paris), Harm Reduction International, and HIT. In 2010 he co-founded the Gay Men’s Health Collective (GMHC) and as an ‘sequel’ to “Together” innovated MENRUS.CO.UK health and well-being website for GBMSM in 2015. GMHC is currently delivering the “Safer” health and well-being campaign for GBMSM Londoners with a focus on chemsex. It is said “This acerbic bear of a man is as charming as he is curmudgeonly as he innovates campaigns and resources to better connect gay men with their health and wellbeing needs.” He is living with HIV.
