Overview

After years of unprecedented challenges for housing associations, registered providers, and tenants, there has never been a more critical time for the housing sector to unite.

In the run-up to the UK General Election, Labour set an ambitious target of delivering 1.5 million new homes, with a strong emphasis on expanding social housing to address affordability and reduce housing inequality. Central to this vision are reforms to the National Planning Policy Framework and empowering local authorities to play a greater role in tackling housing shortages. These changes will be critical in unlocking economic productivity and creating sustainable, community-focused housing solutions.

The Institute of Government & Public Policy is dedicated to fostering a legacy of impactful conferences and events. The Future of Housing Conference 2025 will cover key themes of sustainability, tenant engagement, innovation, and resilience in the housing sector.

Feedback from our previous housing events includes:

"This has been so informative and an eye-opener for me"

"Extremely interesting presentations with different approaches"

"The sessions were absolutely excellent, insightful, and extremely knowledgeable"

"A refreshing and interesting perspective on tackling key challenges"
