The Prince Albert Community Trust

Chief Executive Officer

Phillipa Sherlock Lewis is currently serving as the CEO of the Prince Albert Community Trust (PACT) in Birmingham. PACT is an organisation that has a mission of championing inclusivity for individuals with special educational needs and disabilities. With a career spanning over two decades in education, Phillipa's journey is not just a story of professional success but also one of personal triumph over challenges.

Phillipa's experience in education has been deeply rooted in inner-city communities, where she has held various leadership positions that reflect her dedication to improving educational outcomes. This extensive and varied experience has provided her with a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities in education, especially when it comes to enabling great provision for students with special educational needs in a mainstream setting.

Under Phillipa's dynamic leadership, PACT has undergone significant growth and transformation. She has spearheaded the opening of seven resource bases, catering to 143 SEND pupils with EHCP's. These resource bases are vital for offering specialised support, tailored to the unique requirements of the students.

What truly sets Phillipa apart is her genuine passion for inclusion. Her commitment to improving the lives of individuals with SEND extends beyond her professional role at PACT. She firmly believes that diversity of thought, particularly through neurodiversity, is a powerful force for positive change. Phillipa herself has faced and overcome the challenges of dyslexia, which she proudly refers to as her superpower. Her personal journey with dyslexia has given her unique insights into the struggles faced by those with learning differences, and it fuels her unwavering dedication to creating inclusive learning environments.
