Claire Cannon

School Leadership Coach and a Women in Leadership Advocate

Claire's background is in education, where she initially held support roles as a teaching assistant in both special and mainstream education, before qualifying as a Science teacher.

Moving into leadership saw her take on Head of Science, before she realised that she preferred a more person-centred, relationship focused role, prompting a shift to SENCO. She has been a SENCO in two different phases of education and this led on to an Assistant Headship role in Alternative Provision (SEMH), focusing on trauma informed practice, inclusion and whole school wellbeing.

Claire holds a degree in Psychology, she is a qualified, professional and coach and she is a Mental Health First Aider. Claire is also Chair of Governors at a Primary School giving her a unique perspective on both staff development and whole school improvement.
