The ambition to make senior leadership teams more diverse has been continually becoming a top priority across the globe. While it remains high on the corporate strategic agenda in many countries, is it bringing the expected results?
The latest government-endorsed FTSE Women Leaders Review is a testament to the progress achieved, celebrating the milestone of women occupying 40% of boardrooms in FTSE 350 companies, surpassing targets by three years. However, the report identifies areas for improvement – 30 FTSE 350 firms lag behind the 33% 2020 Board target, and 125 FTSE companies fall short of the 33% by 2020 Leadership target. As of April 2022, the gender pay gap stands at 8.3% (7.7% in April 2021), with working mothers increasingly facing discrimination and injustice, as highlighted by Pregnant and Screwed.
The Institute for Government & Public Policy’s National Progressing Women into Leadership Conference is proud to continue building a reputation for being an inspirational and empowering event. Attendance is essential for senior women leaders breaking through barriers, women-supporting charities, HR professionals, mentors, coaches, trainers, and all who share a vision of a gender-balanced, diverse leadership landscape.
Join us for the Second National Progressing Women into Leadership Conference 2024, which will draw on feedback from previous IGPP Women into Leadership events and include keynote talks from inspirational women who will discuss personal experiences, typical obstacles impeding women’s ascent to leadership, and potential solutions and support systems that can drive real change.
