Overview

In 2022, the Government Property Function published the Government Property Strategy 2022-2030 and the Government Property Sustainability Strategy, which aims to guide public bodies on creating sustainable public estates while delivering savings and achieving better value for money. These strategies set standardised targets and offer planning advice, but much work still needs to be done to meet the government's ambitious, greener goals.

The Institute of Government & Public Policy is dedicated to fostering a legacy of impactful conferences and events. The Public Sector Estates and Facilities Management Show 2025 will share best practices to enhance and update public estates, build on existing successes, and develop new strategies for site regeneration, revenue maximisation, and climate change mitigation.

Join the Institute of Government & Public Policy at the Public Sector Estates and Facilities Management Show 2025 in Manchester to hear the latest updates and guidance from leading experts and those at the forefront of transforming public estates. Attendees will hear from a series of best practice case studies on improving planning processes, repurposing existing buildings and sites, and practical tips on cost reduction. You will have the opportunity to network with senior colleagues across sectors to discuss challenges and share solutions for optimising public estate management and achieving the full potential of government properties.
