Vanda is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resources Management at UWE Bristol and is specialised in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace. The predominant focus of her research is gender inequality in the workplace as well diversity management practices and inclusive recruitment. In a recent research project she led, she looked at the extent to which formal, internal and external, women's networks contribute to gender equality within the organisation and the wider profession (engineering).

Vanda, is particularly active in engaging with the industry. She has recently received Higher Education Innovation Funding in order to develop a series ‘HR Surgeries’ for SMEs and larger organisations. She has also developed and delivered training for SMEs in the creative sector through the Creative Workforce of the Future and larger organisations through UWE’s Executive Education on inclusive recruitment and selection. She has also developed EDI training material for social enterprises (on inclusive leadership and inclusive HRM practice) and did a policy evaluation for the NHS Leadership Academy.
