Online Conference 27 April 2023, 9:00am - 3:00pm
In the UK, 51% of cases of work-related illness and 55% of working days lost are caused by stress, depression, or anxiety (Work Right Campaign). The risk of having an ill workforce goes beyond individuals’ health – according to the Centre for Mental Health, it will take an estimated cost of £34.9 billion annually to improve the mental wellbeing of staff.
At the societal level, nearly 80% of the UK’s population has reported work-related stress, which in turn further contributes to the pressure on NHS resources. Recent data from Statista revealed that over £11 billion has been spent on healthcare due to stress-related illness, while the most common type of stress is work-related.
Join us at Preventing, Reducing, and Managing Stress at Work to explore the causes of stress, risk assessment, and learn about the supporting tools that are available for employers and employees. The event will feature case studies on early signs of stress, risk assessment approaches, staff mental well-being, and establishing self-awareness.
