The Northern Ireland Neurodiversity in the Workplace Conference 2027

Belfast 13 April 2027, 9:00am - 4:00pm

CPD accredited by IGPP badge

Overview

How do we move from awareness of neurodiversity to truly inclusive workplaces?

While awareness of neurodiversity continues to grow, meaningful inclusion in the workplace remains a significant challenge across the UK. Just 31% of autistic adults are in employment, compared to 54.7% of disabled people overall. Nearly half of neurodivergent individuals report experiencing discrimination during recruitment, and 51% feel unable to disclose their neurodiversity due to ongoing stigma. Although 64% of employers say they are confident in supporting neurodivergent staff, many organisations still lack the policies, training, and cultural understanding needed to turn intent into impact. As a result, neurodivergent employees continue to face daily barriers to progression, wellbeing, and full participation at work.

The Institute of Government & Public Policy (IGPP) is a trusted leader in delivering impactful diversity, equality, and inclusion events across the UK, bringing together expert voices, lived experience, and practical solutions to drive real change.

Feedback from previous delegates includes:

''I thought the curation of the days' speakers was exceptional. They were kept to a succinct timeframe that was long enough to get a message across with out being too long to disengage. I have never been to a conference before where I was so engaged with every speaker. Well done!"

''it surpassed my expectations, I learnt a lot''

''Very varied, engaging and knowledgeable''
