The Northern Women in Leadership Conference 2024

Pendulum Hotel, Manchester 3 July 2024, 9:00am - 4:45pm

Overview

Many companies work hard to make equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) a priority in both their mission and culture. Even though EDI is a top priority for businesses globally, are the results meeting expectations?

The latest government-endorsed FTSE Women Leaders Review is a testament to the progress achieved, celebrating the milestone of women occupying 40% of boardrooms in FTSE 350 companies, surpassing targets by three years. However, the report identifies areas for improvement – 30 FTSE 350 firms lag behind the 33% 2020 Board target, and 125 FTSE companies fall short of the 33% by 2020 Leadership target. As of April 2022, the gender pay gap stands at 8.3% (7.7% in April 2021), with working mothers increasingly facing discrimination and injustice, as highlighted by Pregnant and Screwed.

The Institute for Government & Public Policy is proud to continue building a reputation for delivering inspirational and empowering diversity, equity, and inclusion events.  Building on the success of the London-based show, The Women in Leadership Conference is coming to the North of England. Join us and your fellow northern colleagues at The Northern Women in Leadership Conference 2024 for a dynamic and inspiring gathering designed to empower women in diverse leadership roles. The Conference will provide an engaging platform to assess the latest developments and uncover the obstacles impeding women’s ascent to leadership. Attendees will engage in critical dialogues on potential solutions and support systems that can drive real change.

Attendance is essential for senior women leaders breaking through barriers, women-supporting charities, HR professionals, mentors, coaches, trainers, and all who share a vision of a gender-balanced, diverse leadership landscape.
