Julie Hewish is the National Tissue Viability Clinical Lead for the Transforming Wound Care Programme and a Senior Clinical Programme Manager at NHS organisation, Health Innovation Oxford & Thames Valley. A tissue viability specialist since 2011, she has extensive experience across acute, community, and system-level healthcare, with expertise in complex wound management, lower limb management, and NHS service transformation. Julie leads the regional delivery of nationally commissioned improvement programmes across the Thames Valley, enabling NHS services to adopt evidence-based models of care that aim to improve service user outcomes, optimise pathways, and enhance system productivity. She is a Trustee of the Society of Tissue Viability and a coalition member of Legs Matter, an experienced higher education lecturer, and a passionate advocate for patient safety, system-level collaboration, and innovation.
